Dr Peter Meggyesy
graduated from Melbourne University in 1980. After 4 years service as a medical officer in the Royal Australian Navy he completed an obstetric term in London before establishing Sorrento Medical in 1988. Special clinical interests include travel medicine and dermatology. Dr Meggyesy is accredited to administer yellow fever vaccine. Dr Meggyesy is accredited with Frankston Hospital to provide shared antenatal care.
Dr Adrian Murrie
graduated from Melbourne University in 1994. He worked in a Melbourne city general practice for 5 years during which time he was a doctor for the Carlton football and soccer clubs. Special clinical interests include sports medicine and surgical procedures. Dr Murrie is qualified to do diving medicals.
Dr Angela Purchase
MB BS FRACGP graduated from Monash University in 2001. She completed her hospital training on the Mornington Peninsula. Her subsequent general practice work has taken her across the breadth of the country from the Bellarine Peninsula through to Townsville and even service with the Royal Flying Doctor Service before settling back down on the peninsula. Special clinical interests include travel medicine, paediatrics, adolescent health, women’s health and palliative care.
Dr Heather Briggs
, MB ChB, a UK graduate worked in UK and Singapore before moving to
Australia and establishing her own general practice in Fremantle in 1990. In her 12 years
there she was also involved with projects in cardiac medicine and youth health. More
recently she has worked in occupational health in Azerbaijan, a small island in Malaysia
and the aboriginal medical service in the Kimberley. She and her husband have settled in
Sorrento and Heather has started her practice with us at Sorrento Medical.
