Debbie Withers, Psychologist

Debbie Withers is a psychologist who consults at Sorrento Medical on Wednesday mornings Her areas of interest include cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), family therapy, supportive counselling, grief and loss counselling and intellectual and behavioural assessment.

She has 21 years experience in psychological practice including many years in educational and health settings. She has an interest in children and their families and couples and individuals. Her aim is to provide a safe space for people to work to achieve the outcomes they want with the therapeutic approach that is the best fit for them.

Debbie is registered with medicare and is able to accept GP referrals.

Michael Willis, Psychologist, Counsellor and Mediator

Michael Willis [M.Psych(Counselling), BA(Social Psych)(Syd),  BE(Civil)(Syd),  GradDipEdPsych(Monash), Cert.Cnslling. & Psychotherapy(Cairnmillar); Member The Australian Sociological Association; Member, Institution of Engrs(Aust), CPEng.; Member Australian Psychological Society] is a psychologist, counsellor and mediator, consulting at Sorrento Medical on Fridays (and at other times by special arrangement). 

His services include:- personal counselling (stress management, pain management, deep relaxation, grief and loss support, anxiety, depression, and personal development); relationships counselling (couples, families, friendship, work-place); and, communication skills and conflict resolution. 

 Michael works with clients in a supportive and non-judgemental manner to enable them to develop effective strategies for dealing with their concerns.  Such approaches include cognitive behavioural techniques for symptom-relief, and he also offers when appropriate brief or longer-term psychotherapy.

He is a registered Provider with the main health funds, Government-support agencies and medicare.

Kate Save, Dietitian and Exercise Physiologist

Kate Save graduated from Deakin University with a Bachelor Nutrition and Dietetics/Bachelor of Science (Exercise Science). She has worked as a Lecturer in Nutrition and Exercise Science for several Tafes and Colleges, as well as Private Practice in Brighton and Mt Martha. Kate is also completing an Advanced Diploma of Diabetes Education. Special clinical interests include weight loss and obesity-related illness, Diabetes, Irritable Bowel/Coeliac Diease and Sports nutrition. Kate is recognised by private health insurance providers, Medicare, DVA and Work Safe Victoria.
